Hirundines on the move

Europa Point Lighthouse
Trinity House's most southerly lightouse

White Wagtail today

Strong winds and heavy rain last night brought Meadow Pipits and White Wagtails down this morning. As the sun opened the sky up I was delighted to see Swallows and Crag Martins moving north over the town, flying just above the museum rooftop! The trickle continued into the afternoon with a few Red-rumped Swallows and House Martins. Only the Sand Martin was missing!

Gannets were prominent at Europa Point and put on quite a show. A couple of first winter Med Gulls loafing with the Black-heads.
